Well we made it! We are finally in Ukraine. More than 24 hours after leaving LAX, we are rested and ready to take on what this trip has in store. Our hosts are very gracious, providing us with Cocoa Puffs, coffee and sandwiches, while teaching us a little bit of Russian.
We’ll have the day to check out Kiev before we leave for camp, allowing us a little bit of R&R before driving another 12 hours to camp this evening.
I’d like to take a moment, on behalf of the entire team, to thank you all for your prayers. Our travels went so smoothly with minimal drawbacks. We were blessed to meet a couple of pastors on their way to Kiev themselves, as well as a few other friendly faces while in Germany. The exposure just keeps on coming and it’s so exciting!
God has something special in store for us, I’m sure. It doesn’t really feel like we’re in another country, but more exposure is yet to come. I am so thankful for this opportunity to see new places and spread the love of Christ. We are already growing as a team.
Please continue to pray for us as we journey to camp and spend the next eight days with kids who speak a different language, live in a different culture, and may not understand how much Jesus loves them. We need endurance most of all. The traveling alone has taken its toll.
Thanks for the support and the prayers. Much love from Ukraine!
*Team Ukraine arrived early July, but because of the internet connection, we are just now able to post on the blog.
