Here is our first blog post from Ukraine!
25 hours, a screaming toddler, a bag full of trampoline parts, and a whole bottle of Dramamine later, we've made it to Ukraine!
After one of the easiest check in's at LAX I've ever experienced, we boarded our flight full of energy and ready for the adventure that awaited us. We laughed, made friends with the Polish flight attendant, watched Hunger Games, colored in coloring books *cough Brittany cough* and knocked ourselves out thanks to that lovely sleep aid noted above. When we arrived we hopped in the bus and drove to our team leaders house in a giant van, and we're welcomed to delicious pasta and friends. When our eyes couldn't stay open any longer, we went to beautiful sleep. AND it didn't have to be sitting up like the past 11 hours. Glorious.
Today we're packing up, meeting the Ukraine team and driving 6 hours to the orphanage. God is already at work here in Ukraine and I can feel the love for these kids already pouring through my veins. I cannot wait to share life with these kids and love them like they've never been loved.
Pray for endurance, energy, and patience as we begin camp. It's going to be AWESOME!
Dopobachenya! ;)
