Well America, it has been real. It has been fun. It has been real fun, but I need some time away. Don’t change too much, except for every part about you that needs changing. It would be nice if you gave Fresno a little more rain, but you know it’s fine how you keep it. It is time to hop on that giant bird…no a plane…no SUPER-no it’s still a plane.
We are finally heading to Thailand. I, seriously, can’t believe it? It has been a great past few months. Meeting for the first time, creating fundraiser ideas, early morning prayer meetings, and weekend hangouts. Wow our team has spent a lot of time together, almost too much. Now we get to the moment where we finally do what we came together to do: go serve our Lord and see Him across the globe.
I have been extremely nervous for this occasion. Being a planner, I like to know all the details, but ultimately I find peace every step of the way. God has opened way too many doors for us to not just walk right through them. He has given me so many wonderful relationships, even in the past month, that have supported me to this moment.
We are all so excited to meet the people in Thailand and those that work with ITDP.
As we drive down to LA to board our lovely 20 hour flight, we are anxiously anticipating each moment coming in the next few weeks. I would like to say that I am fully ready to let the Holy Spirit move in me, but am I ready? Are we ever really ready to FULLY “let go and let God”?
I wrote this blog post to update everyone on where we are. We are going, we are safe, we are excited, we cannot wait to get on that plane and land in Thailand. We have done our best to prepare as a team for what God has in store for us and for what He will reveal through His Spirit, but I don’t think I can be fully ready for what He truly has in store for me with this opportunity. It is greater than I can imagine. I will have to give up my desire to k know what’s happening, who is doing what, at what time things will be accomplished, and where I am. Again, I find peace knowing that He knows all of these things. He has brought us all here together for a purpose greater than any of us could ever comprehend.
I would like to end this by saying thank you to each and everyone one of you that has supported all of us for this journey. Whether it be through finances, prayer, or just being someone to give advice: Thank you. And please keep us in your prayers in the coming weeks. More soon…
